State Police said that at approximately 9:38 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, road workers discovered the body wrapped in a tarp in the tree line of the parkway southbound ramp to M7 West (Babylon Turnpike).

The victim has been identified as James Graham, 37, of Jamaica, Queens. A gunshot wound was discovered and the death is being investigated as a homicide.

The investigation is active and being handled by the New York State Police Major Crime Unit in conjunction with investigators from the New York City Police Department.
